Does a fanatic collapsing cause a turnover?

Does a fanatic collapsing cause a turnover? Not falling over because of a block result. When they roll a '1' after their action and have a heart attack?

Cheers. :D

Yes. Any active player hitting the turf is a turnover, except for thrown goblins who don't have the ball.

Yeah, that's what I thought. :( It kind of makes them pointless though, don't you reckon? Oh well.

Well, they suck up rerolls and they force the other coach to dramatically change their play style in most cases.

I find fanatics to be extremely annoying in the opposing team. Just remember to field them on offense only. On defense they are very easy to avoid and you risk an extra penalty roll.

It says in the description of ball and chain players:
A collapsed Fanatic being knocked over counts as a turnover.
its fairly clear cut

The context of your quote refers to the 'attacker down' and 'both down' results of a block action in relation to a fanatic. I was asking about the roll you make after the fanatics action. Only asked 'cos the little chap is never actually 'over' on the pitch.

(Okay, this is strange, but I'm going somewhere with it.)

Anyone read Terry Pratchett, and know about Nanny Ogg's "Hedgehog" song? For those who are not, see http://world.std.com/~mam/filks/Hedgehog.html

Well, it occurs to me that there is a Blood Bowl equivilant - the "Fanatic" song. The Fanatic is never actually down on the pitch, so the chorus could go something like, "The Fanatic can never be fouled"

right ok since you said that i take it you didn't actually read the rulebook before asking your question, i took that quote from the last line of the paragraph dealing with the after action roll of collapsing, since you think thats out of context i will post the whole paragraph and you shall see that its just about collapsing and not just being knocked over:
After you have finished the Fanatic’s move, you must
roll a dice to see if he has become exhausted. On a
roll of 2-6 the Fanatic may remain in play. On a roll of
1, the Fanatic collapses in a heap and must be placed
in the Dead and Injured Players box. Roll the dice
again to see what has happened to him: 1-3 = Cardiac
arrest: The Fanatic dies from over exertion; 4-6 =
Knackered: The Fanatic is worn out, but will recover in
time for the next match. Apothecaries cannot be used
to heal collapsed Fanatics. A collapsed Fanatic being
knocked over counts as a turnover.
happy now ;]

Hey! That line isn't in my rulebook!

Though I accept that line may have been added to the LRB, in ain't in my death zone rulebook! Fancy suggesting that I wouldn't bother to read the rulebook before posting a question! The cheek...
