Revised Experimental Secret Weapon Rules

Found on http://www.midgardbb.com/MBBL/SecretWeapons.html

2 Questions:

1. General: Do you have to penalty roll after the game ends (after the 2. half)?
Only result could be that the weapon is confiscated, the guy wouldn't miss the rest of the game since the game is all over.

2. Ball & Chain:
ignore all skills, traits, and racial characteristics
Do you have to ignore stunty as well? So a goblin with Ball & Chain (and a lot of fungus beer into) wouldn't brake that easily (no Inj+1?)?

End of a drive ... so yes you need to roll to see if they were ejected which simply would mean a confiscation roll.

Yes, Ball and Chain Goblins don't have +1 to injury ... you ignore Stunty while they have the ball. Although this rarely matters as usually its 1-3 He's Dead, 4-6 He's Badly Hurt. But he could skull out or pow/skull out a block.

My league is finishing its 3rd round with those weapon rules and we really like them so far.

But whats up when he got hit by other things like bombs, fireballs.... or perhaps even a chainsaw attack (since it is not a block you should be allowed to chainsaw a Ball & Chain Goblin). Does the little fellow than suffer from stunty?

No Ball and Chain players do not have +1 to injury. The Ball and Chain removes Stunty. Just let's say that the Fungus Brew that creates a Fanatic also makes them able to ignore/resist injury a whole lot better.

ok, so ball and chain (fanatic) removes stunty completely. but what about the other weapons? chainsaw and pogo stick (and probably bombs) should remove it as well, since he's no longer able to dodge freely. but does the +1 to injury disappear on those guys as well? and what about poison dagger? would that remove the stunty trait?

Ball & Chain is the only Weapon that states:
ignore all skills, traits, and racial characteristics
as the other weapons don't say so you only have to follow the LRB-rules which are given to them.

Chainsawing a fanatic just wouldn't be in spirit with the game. Just cos it isn't a "normal" block - you still have to get near to him to use a chainsaw. Something that a wrecking ball on a chain wouldn't allow. The chainsawer would end up smeared across the pitch, I'm afraid.[/quote]

No, no, no, and no. The revised rules only list the Ball and Chain as remove RChars ... not the others. So the other weapons don't effect the +1 to injury. The fungus brew is good stuff, mate. Just look at the Night Goblin team in the MBBL2 ... Fungus Brew can make SI player get up and go play again automatically.

Also, it is already indicated in the Stunty racial characteristic description that a Stunty player armed loses its dodging benefits, but the rest of the rule applies.

really, the only reason i ask is because i didnt seem to find anything when i last browsed through the lrb. so what you're saying is pogo stick players et al. still have the stunty trait when they dodge? i dont get it. my scrappa sorehead and nobbla blackwart star player cards dont list stunty under their skills.

or is it, they still have the +1 to injury, but dont get the ingore tzs on dodges.

Those are true Star Players. They don't suffer the +1 injury because they are Stars. A normal Goblin with a Chainsaw or Pogo Stick suffers from the normal +1 penalty from Stunty for injury.

The secret weapons rules are not here to replace the secret weapon stars or to even allow such stars to be possible. Remember Varag has Jump Up and the Morg doesn't have bonehead.

Read the desciption of the stunty skill. Secret weapon equiped stunties still suffer the penalties of stunty but lose the benefits.

An other thing to mention: this post is about the Revised Experimental Secret Weapon Rules on
http://www.midgardbb.com/MBBL/SecretWeapons.html .
They are experimental and so they might differ from original rules for weapons because in the LRB only starplayer could ever have weapons.

BTW, i thought about the lineman in an orc team. They are the only one who may use weapons but why aren't goblins in an orc team allowed to use weapons? (If so, it's not listed on point 1.)
