Range Ruler - Pass template

Hi,
to avoid any discution, we created this template for the Pass Range Ruler.
Who can check it to confirm that it is correct?

I'm more confused by that than I ever was by the range ruler!!

hi,
Sorry if it doesn't look clear.
Difficult to show something with the code option.
But take an exemple remember your Battle Ship game
L13-l5 = Bomb or this case is too far?
Some people in my League says too far, some says Long Bomb, some dont care,....

Using the range ruler is easier i say, but i believe that its almost correct except that short pass is only 3 squares while long pass is 4.

Hi,
Take another example so.
So the rules says:
If the line between two passing ranges crosses the receiving
player’s square, then you should use the higher range.
If you are 1 square behind in your half. There is 13 squares to the TD..
If you take the Range-Rule. The Line cross just a little bit the last square.
So you have to take the higher ranger, meaning that it is too far
So does it mean that from the last square from your half, you can't throw in the end Zone?
And so far , the JavaBowl is not correct?

Can't comment on Javabowl, but we always said if part of the square was over the line then it was out of range.

That is exactly what we do. Even if the tiniest bit of the next range is on the target square, the higher range is used. So if the end of the ruler crosses the target, it's too far.

Normally each band is 3.5 squares long. So a longbomb would be 14 squares. That means if you are standing on your side of the LOS you can throw a longbomb to the endzone (if you throw in a straight line).

You could play like this, but tell me are you using a magnifying glass?

Right, just measured it on my board, and from the way we played as above, a player on the LOS can reach the endzone of the square directly in front of him, and 1 to either side. Anywhere else is out of range.

Like this, we can compare differents versions and take the most reasonnable/correct?

each range on the ruler is 3.5 squares measured in a straight line, EXCEPT for the long bomb, which is only 3. this means that if you're standing on the LOS you can throw into the endzone. so this gives you a grand total of 13.5 squares, not 14. javabowl interprets this correctly. if you're one back from the LOS, we've always ruled you cannot throw it into the endzone, as only a sliver of the ruler reaches the receiver. the breakdown as measured in a straight line is as follows:
quick:1-3
short:4-7
long:8-10
bomb:11-13

Short range is not 7 squares in a straight line. Only 6.
Remember, if the range-divider is situated anywhere within the recievers square, then the longer range is used.
