Stats for Zara and Ramtut?

Post by Count Zappa »

Anyone know the stats, cost, eligible teams and any special rules for these players?

I'm set to order the minis and the mags... and by the way, are these players both featured in issue 9?

With a re-roll, it's like a four-dice block!

Yeah, just go out and buy the mag ;)

Ok, seriously:

Zara the Slayer

6/4/3/8 Block, Dodge, Jump Up, Dauntless, Stakes (SW 10+) 140k
Humans, Amazons, Norse and Dwarf

Stakes: After a block - +3 to AV against Khemri, Necromantic or Vampire (though I'd include the "classic" Undead roster in that), +1 AV against all others.

Ramtut III

5/6/2/9 Block, Mighty Blow, Break Tackle, Regenerate 160k
Khemri and Necromantic

Very good question. Maybe they should reword it so that they only work against players with regenerate. That way the ghouls would stand half a chance on the pitch.

Zara is definitely deadly against the dead... Mummies have an effective AV of 6 against her...

She can use 'm. It's "only" +1 on the armour roll, but it does help.

Personally I don't like the idea of Stars that counter one specific other race. In league games every Human, Dwarf and Amazon coach would be stupid not to freeboot her against Undead. And the 10+ penalty roll can be neglected (you have to roll a 11 or 12!)

(I don't like stars at all, but that is another issue)

sometimes it's just nice to have characterful, "fluff" starplayers though - no-one is forcing anyone to use her.

except possibly at the majors, then she'd be pretty useful, but that's a different matter.

Fluff is nice and, of course, no one forces you to take her, but believe me in a large league that uses stars, Undead will have a much harder time surviving the play-offs now...
