this just recently came up. if you tie on the pitch invasion roll and both teams get lynched, does each coach roll seperate dice to see how many people are injured? and if not, am i correct in assuming whoever rolled the kickoff result (i.e. is kicking) rolls for the number of players?

From page 19 LRB

12 Field Invasion: Each coach rolls two dice and adds their side“s fan factor to the score. A tie means both teams are affected........

Pretty much says it all.

thats not what he is asking thanks asmosdan

after that you then roll a d6 to see how many are affected

he wanted to know if you rolled a d6 and that applied to both or you rolled the number of hits on each time seperatly

A good question :o My first impression was that 2d6 is rolled but now I am not that sure, either. If it is a tie, then fans of the both teams invade the field, but is d6 or 2d6 rolled? So is it...

A
First, d6 rolled to see how many is injured. Then, another roll is made to see how many of the injured are from which team.

B
Both team managers roll d6 - so in the worst case both teams may get 6 injured players.

I vote B . See how many players on each team get hurt by each coach rolling 1 D6. Just seems to make sense to me as it would seem more fans would rush the field.S.

Ohhh, sorry misunderstood a bit.
Well i always rolled D6 for both teams mostly because that sounded most logical (when 1 teams fans beat up 1 team you roll D6 so when both teams fans start beating up players you roll D6 for each team)
and because the rules does not mention anything else so its easy to assume those who made it thought it was clearly understood and did not think it could be interpetrated like this (Like so many other rules :-? )

I've always played that each team rolls D6 to determine the number of injuries inflicited.

That's how we've done it also.

Yeah, individual D6 each

the reason i ask is because it seems both teams should be affected equally just like all the other kickoff results that end in a tie. of course, there's a perfectly good fluff reason you should both roll, orc fans tend to be a bit more voilent (i would suspect) than elf fans and would probably hurt more players. at the time, we decided just 1d6 would be rolled for both teams, but since the majority of you roll your own, i suppose if this comes up in the furture we'll do it that way.

Can't agree on that. It would depend on the stregh of the fans. I see it as a huge melee where nobody knows who's doing what any more untill the officials finally sort things out and get the game on the way again. So who's saying that one side is 'liberated' before the other? The d6 from both coachers will show who's fans got more chances to beat the opponents players up. They can't have eys everywhere at the same time you know!

Anyway, that's just who it looks to me. :smoking:

Had it happen in my friday pre-BB friendly against Shaniepoo...I had seven skaven left on pitch, we each rolled a tied Pitch Invasion, and he hit a six. "OK...which one of my players ISN'T affected?"

Both roll a dice. Always been the way I've played it.

sounds rough there thadrin. i was playing orcs vs HE, in sweltering heat. i score a td, he passes all his rolls. i take 6 1s. now there's 5 guys standing, and i roll pitch invasion. rolled a 3, so now i have 2 guys to stop 11 orcs... but i wonder, what woulda happened if he rolled a 6?
