Quick issue came up today in regards to the way Team Rating is calculated, so I want to double queck with you guys that we are doing it right..

Teams start with a TR of 100...

The TR is then adjusted depending on the amount of gold the team is currently worth..

Then the Players SPP's are divided and added in.

The problem we had was that after a second game, several players were under the impression that they had to add the SPP's a second time (ala, they get a +2 to team rating for SPPs, then got more SPPs in the second match that would give them enough after division for a +3, for a total of +5 to the TR instead of just +3, and the gold cost of the team.)

no the spp just add on once

so a player with 6 spp adds 1 to the tr (+his cost)

he will always just add 1 while he stays at 6spp

just recalculate the tr after the match tot up the total cost of the team then add up all the spp and divide by 6 and add them on as well

thats the easiest way of doing it rather than adding on 1/6 of the new spp earned in the match (which could also be wrong with rounding down previous matches etc)

And ofcourse you'd be labelled as a cheater

SPP are divided by 5 for Team Rating purposes.

At what point do you round the numbers?? I round the result of the SPP's / 5 and add that to the rounded result of the value / 10.000. Is this the correct way??

actually I don't work on tuesdays, only on monday .. wednesday and thursdays so ..

Okay, just so I can see a visual example (I just seem to learn best that way) let me try this out.. So, starting team plays its first game.

Team Rating starts at 100...Team wins, say, 60,000..so Team Rating goes up to 106. Now the team has 20 SPPs, so the Team Rating is now 110.

Okay, so now lets say said team plays again, The team maybe only wins 40,000 this time, so after the value is calculated the team is at TR 110, now lets say the team didn't do as well, and only gained 10 SPPs..after calculation the TR would then be 116 correct?

Easier way.

Total Team Cost (including RR APO etc+Treasury+SPP/5 rounded down= TR Always after every match. If a player dies your TR will probably go down because you lose his value for the roster and his SPP's!

Ok this came up tonight in the new league I am in. I added up my team rating and one of the other guys said it was wrong. I took my rating of 113 after game one and added 6 due to the fact I won 60,000. My SPP's for both games is 34 so I added 6 more for a total of 125. He said that I should only add the SPP for that game and divide them by 5. I believe I did it right?????? Any help would be great

You don't take the SPP part of the rating match by match. You indeed take all the SPP's earned over all the matches together and then divide it by 5. So you calculated it correctly.

Sorry to correct you Madhobbit but if I understand what is written by Bullstood correctly then it is wrong!

@Bullstood. You calculated the SPP you received in the first match to add up to your TR of 113. You should NOT be adding tose SPP's up again. Only those you got from the match. Otherwise your TR will be skyhigh at the end of game 10!!

Make it easy on yourself start counting from scratch each time:

Count worth of team (ie all players rerolls apoth etc.)
add all SPP/5 rounded down
then add what is left in your treasury.

You can't make mistakes that way. Unless you suck at maths.

If you would do it like this:
TR before the match,
Add winnings
Reduce killed players
Add/reduce SPPs/5

You will always have differences with rounding down fractions of you SPP's!

Thanks Draco........but here is my problem. If you look at the rule book at the example it has 60 divided by 5=12 Now if it was match by match I am sure you would never add up to 60. Any thoughts???
