!becareful! realy bad english langage post
I don't understand why the malus for long pass can provoque a fumble...
i think it's realy stupid, it's not because a want to throw a long ball than i will to loss it.
Fumble it's is realy on a "1" before
or after modification???
with this rules, halfling and gobelin are realy desaventaged. Without the rule, probably more coach would like to play this team.
it'll be changed or not question for moment?

By having '1' a fumble before or after modification (and that is the official rule) it makes specialist passers much more effective.
Accurate & Strong Arm become much more important for an effective long passing game than high AG.
Also without it it makes it a "safe" play for even a long beard to toss the ball downfield to stop your opponent scoring.

Hello Manest, i dont know if you re on the forum Bloodbowl-fr.com,
But this is exactly what i told to the guys overthere.
This is not a perfect rule but it is a clear one. If you would change it for more realistic, you would have much more problems.

Yes i see

But i want to have other country opinion

In fact i'm in a very difficult transision, i played Halfling since a lot of year and i think to change. It's a little the fault of this rule.
Now i'm sure, if you play with a good player, with halfling, and with this rule, you
can't win. without the rule, it's realy possible.

well, in BB, it is well know that Halfling and Goblins should not win...and should do a party if they score!
So, compared to the fluff, i found them very powerfull

After reading this thread I need some clarification
I play a goblin team with two trolls. The troll - after miraculously remembering what to do with the goblin and deciding not to eat the green snot yet - ahem, said troll takes a pass action to throw the goblin to long pass range (counts as long bomb!) and rolls a 3.
Is this a fumble?
I think it is not because of the following reasoning:
a) it is not a "1" on the die so it is not an automatic fumble before mods.
b) after being modified by the trolls ag (+1) and the (-2) for throwing a long pass, the (3) in the die = (2) ;
3+1-2= 2; not a fumble!
Am I forgetting anything?
BTW Is a fumble in a TTM roll cause for a turnover?
BTW2 Does the goblin get a roll on the landing table on a TTM roll of 1 (a fumble)
Cheers!

What do you mean being modified for AG +1???????
The troll has AG 1 which gives it a basic chance of 6+ without modification.
A long pass with TTM is -2 and as there is no other modifications he will fumble the gobbo.
I seem to remmeber we agreed last time that a fumble was a turnover but i will check it to be sure.
And no you don“t roll for landing, only injury roll straight away.

Completely disagree.
My Halfling team in the PBeMBBL is 7 wins - 8 losses. Its has scored 24 TDs and only allowed 26.
At the Underworld Cup tournament I took Halfling and went 2 wins - 3 losses. I scored 8 TDs and only allowed 6 TDs.
If you are passing the ball, its probably why you think they cannot win.
Try this thread for advice:

As for the other part of the thread ... fumble AFTER modification on a 1 is very important to the game in my opinion.

as much as I don't like it when I roll a three and my gobbo falls down goes squish, I have to agree that this is a very important rule...without it, there's nothing to stop every ttm attempt from being a mossive lob towards the end zone...alright you only have a one in six of making it accurate, but we all know that accurate ttm's is less important than the landing...having it after mods gives you cause to think, and sometimes it's just enough to get him over the line of scrimage and boogie downfield...
my gobbos are 2 and 2, with about ten td's for only 6 allowed....but in the last two games, I took ten cas...so it's back to the undead for the quarter finals
