Result 13 on the handicap table:-

13 INTENSIVE TRAINING: One player is really psyched for this week’s match, and has been working very hard preparing for it. Pick a player on your team. He may take one extra skill to use for this match only, just as if he had rolled a New Skill result on the Star Player Table.

Now I've always understood that to mean a normal skill, ie not a double, but it's been mentioned, that it doesn't actually specify that you can't take a trait/double skill, as the "New Skill" result is 2-9 on the Star Player Table.
So, can you take a doubles roll?

Well, I don't think you can either, but it's not clear, and I don't think I've seen it come up before.

New skill means non-double ... at least that was the intent.

Been ruled as a skill in our league. We've got some real rules lawyers, so we have to be very clear about all this stuff.

Law students make some interesting people to play against.

IMHO doubles skills should not be allowed for this result, unless the player is made to roll randomly as normal (which defeats the whole purpose of CHOOSING a skill for that game only). :-?
