secret weapon rolls

Played a fumbbl game recently and I had a chainsaw wielding midget.
Durring the half a td was scored and the new kickoff results was get the ref. At the end of the half the secret weapon was banned. Just want to make sure this is correct, any one know for sure?

Yep, Get the Ref says it only stop the ref from awarding penalties.
Getting thrown out of the game because the player has a secret weapon is not awarding a penalty, so basically this kick-off roll does not count on secret weapons.

Get the Ref also runs out at HT, but Asmodan was correct aswell

I have to disagree with Valen & Asmodan here. Getting the Ref does stop secret weapons being sent off.

LRB pp 19 Get the Ref "he will not award penalties against the team whose fans got his predecessor"

LRB pp 29 Secret Weapons "the player remains in play until after a touchdown is scored or a half ends, and then the opposing coach is allowed to make a Penalty roll to see if the referee kicks the player out of the game."

If you've got the ref you can't be sent off for secret weapons penalty rolls (or even be called for IP).

Also the secret weapon roll is at the end of the half (so the Ref is still got) not at the beginning of the 2nd half.

I never said the get the ref wouldnt stop him being sent off, to be honest I didnt have a clue, but I always thought that penalty rolls were done at each kick off, therefore, second half kick off,
