Freebooting when you allready have 16 players.

This goes for PBeM BB and are mainly to people who has a league or have played it a lot.
Just started a game where my opponent freebooted a star player.
The problem is that he allready has 16 players meaning he now has 17.
This is off course illegal, but i was wondering if any had been in this situation before and how you handled it, or how you would have handled it?

He can't do that, but if it already happened then I think he lost the game. And I think he conceeded with all the bad things it brings.
But I'm not sure as it never occured here.

I don´t think so, but its possible it should have been somewhere else like general chat maybe.
But i thoguht since its a connection to breaking a rule that it should be here.

Well the rule is he can't. If a client lets him do it then its a bug.

How I'd handle it? That depends on the client.

If you can then I'd just say he can't play the freebooter and gets the money back.

If you can't I'd let him play.

We solved this as that he can´t freeboot and get the money back.
