Pre Game MVP and Aging

Post by Dangerous Dave »

If you get an MVP award before the game from the Handicap Table, and the player gains a skill........ if he ages :x and gains a niggle, does he have to make the niggle roll to see if he can play in the game - or does the niggle rolls kick in after this game?

Logically I would say yes he should roll for Niggle - however, this then mkes the Handicap roll a handicap for the lower rated team.

Since rolling for niggles comes after handicaps, I'd say you have to roll for the niggle.

That pretty much concludes the discussion - if he gets a NI as a result of aging in the handicap phase, then he has it in the 'Roll for Niggling injuries' phase.
Even though it's a handicap for the team that should gain from the Handicap table. If it would be otherwise, there'd be a note somewhere that "if you gained NI during the handicap phase, you don't need to roll for that NI".
