if a player is dead at the end of the match , and he fails his regeneration roll, is he then permanently dead, or should he be in the dead|injured box next game?

i ask this because i think the line "a player with this ability cannot normally be killed or injured, but ..." is a bit confusing.

cheers, serra

Failing the Regeneration roll for a Dead player means he was mangled just a little too much to ever play again.

Is a dead player that fails his regeneration roll is allowed to try again after the next touchdown?

And is the only way to "Kill" an undead player to make sure that he is in the Dead box at the end of a match?

You only get once chance to roll regeneration for a particular casualty. But you can roll for each casualty you get until you fail one and miss rest of the game or worse.

The undead player at the end of the game still gets a chance to regenerate his injury to see if it affects them next game.

Gallowing thats kinda confusing, your post suggests that once you fail a regeneration roll, you can't make any more for other players later in the match.

Basically if a player gets injured and has regeneration, you get one chance on 4+ dice roll to see if he regenerates. You can do this for every player with regeneration regardless of previous regeneration rolls and you also also regenerate the same player twice if they get another injury later on.

With my undead i place them standing in the inj box until the next drive, then i roll for the standing players, if they fail i lie them prone so i know, if they pass i use them again. This helps you keep track of who failed the roll so you don't roll twice for a player.

I am sure thats what you meant gallowin, just thought i woudl clear it up a bit.

We just roll the Regen roll right away, and place them in the Reserve Box if they make it, DeadNInjury box if they fail. We use this because we think is more easy. To follow the rules tho, you do as the post above, roll on the next drive, smart with the standing thing :D

We used to do this as well, but I found that knowing whether you have a mummy coming back for the next drive can seriously alter the strategy of play on the board. We came up with a simple system. Undead who are standing in the Killed/Injured box have yet to make their regenerate rolls. Undead who are lying down are out of the game.

I Agree...

And BTW it's much more fun when game ends and the undead coach has forgotten to roll for the dead/inj. player... :D

I didn't think of that tbh skummy. Might change to the real rules now that i think of it.
