troll slayer and Multi Block
can he get it as a new skill?
I know he can't use it with frenzy, but I'm not sure wether he can even get it.
thanx

This is really a debate? The last LRB for Frenzy states "Frenzy is not used with secret weapon attacks or any other kind of attack other than aianwilliams wrote:There is some disagreement about whether he can use multiple block when he has frenzy. He certainly can't use use them together - but some would argue he has to use Frenzy so can never use Multiple Block.
I'd get your league commissioner to rule on the issue.
straightforward normal block on one opponent!
We always took that to mean if you make a maultiple block, then frenzy does not work as it is not a straightforward block against one opponent.

So now I understand the question.
Reading the rules at frenzy, I'd say that it states there that frenzy is allways used. If wanted or not! Just must follow up your opponent and just must throw another block at him if..... So in that case you can take multiple block, but it would be a total waste of the skill because you would never be able to use it, as frenzy also states that it can only be used when making a block on a single opponent.
Sorry I didn't grasp the question straight away Juggernaut. The reply you gave however was not neccessary.

Well their is Nobbla Blackwort who has Frenzy and a chainsaw. So if he has to always make a frenzied block then the chainsaw s/w is a bit daft.
There is basically the question about whether you must use frenzy. As its worded you can argue it doesn't say you have to use it - just that if you do use it that you have to follow up and make another block.

I'd interpret frenzy such that if you make a normal block/blitz you have to use it, but if you can make a different sort of block/blitz (chainsaw, multiple block, dagger, etc) you can choose to do so, but can't use frenzy on that "block" either

Ian. LRB page 35 says: "A player with frenzy must always follow up if they push them back." I'm not a star at English but this part looks pretty obvious to me. Must leaves out the possibility of choice IMHO.ianwilliams wrote:There is basically the question about whether you must use frenzy. As for the Star Player. He goes back a long time before these changed frenzy rules. I'm not sure when he came to life, but in third edition you did not have this problem! Maybe nobody thought of changing the statts of this starplayer.

P35 also says : "Frenzy is not used with special weapon attacks or any other attacks other than a block on ONE opponent" (emphasis mine)Draco wrote: Ian. Throwing a multiple block is a block against two opponents, therefore you can't use Frenzy during it. As you aren't using Frenzy it can't make you do anything.

I'd agree this is one for the hot list. I also think it ought to allow you to use Multiple Block or secret weapons.Thadrin wrote:Hot list 2004 starts here...
(for what its worth, I think Multi Block is usable by a slayer)
How about: "When making a normal block against a single opponent Frenzy must be used. Otherwise a player performs the block normally"

Maybe: "When making a nomal block against a single opponent Frenzy must be used. If a skill or SW is used that cannot be used with Frenzy, you may ignore the Frenzy skill."
