I voted for 3rd Blitzer but why not take a Thrower? (that would have been my personal choice)

The whole "evil tax" thing just rankles me. And I like spreading out my completions to the players that need it. With 3 rerolls I can get away with that for a while.

Well, it depends on your playing style, of course. But you can't change the evil tax and ignoring the option of a thrower will just limit your team building. There is no problem to make a quick pass with a MVP-Lineman, even if you got a Thrower in your team. I see a DE-Thrower more like a DE Lineelf with passing skill access. So, at first he does not add anything great to your team but on the medium/long run, having a DE with accurate, strong arm or safe throw (to make those short passes over the opponent's head) will beef up your overall play considerably.

I went for another blitzer. Very tempted with a 4th re roll but I think 3 is sufficient at present. Personally I think blitzers are the main stay of the team and Witches are a double edged sword.

Normally I'd go for the 4th TRR. It helps keep the TR low so you are getting more money. However as its FUMBBl I guess the handicap doesn't make a difference.

So (just because its FUMBBL) I'd take the Blitzer. I'd wait for the 2nd witch until after the first one has got block. 2 unskilled witches can be a liability IMO.

IMO 2 witches can get you in trouble... but they can also get you out of trouble too. For an important blitz use a blitzer - where frenzy can really help - eg create holes - then use the Witch.

Of course everyone will always get block as the witches first skill......

Check out Caterham Shaggers at the following link:

http://www.lplbb.com/teams.asp

I was going to get block too..... but double first up so dauntless, then foir the 2nd double 6.... of course there is no choice then!

And, just in case, I know I need some Dirty Players.......

1. Remove the witchelf.
2. Remove the Blizters.
3. Score or watch you score.
repeat untill the witchelf and blitzers are off for the rest of the game and then walk all over you.

One Witchelf is a target.
Two Witchelves means that every turn you can frenzy an oponent off the field, and probably not having to use the one blitz action to do it because the 2nd was getting into position while the first was frenzing... and visa-versa.

With 2 Witchelves I might loose focus enough trying to take them out and not pay enough attention to your two blitzers... the real backbone of your team.

Concider the witchelves as dangerous decoys, and two decoys are a bigger distraction and threat then one.
DING DING DING - We Have a winner!

This is exactly it. WEs need to get block asap, and if the other team is targetting that one player it gets even harder to develop them. Alesdair speaks to how much easier it is to beat you, I would add how much harder it is to get the WE to where it needs to be developmentally whjile targeted.

I would buy the witch elf. Probably. But thats me...

You have a guard player - this swayed me....

Otherwise the blitzer. You don't need another reroll yet ;)

Okay, I went with the 3rd blitzer, and it payed off handsomely with a win over Chaos. The first witch elf got me in a fair amount of trouble, and I think a 2nd would have lost me the game.

Proven right! Well done Skummy. There is a time and a place for Witches, but your bedrock/star players are blitzers. Always remember that.
