First skill for Troll Slayer - +AG

Post by MixX »

Okay, I just rolled my first skill for a Troll Slayer, and got +AG.. should I take it?? I normally don't turn down AG or ST increases, I just feel there's something he could benefit more from..

Notes on this and Dwarf development in general would be appreciated :)

I always take ag increases unless its an ag1 player.
And dwarf teams with only 4 ag3 players will benefit very well from getting ag increses.

Ok, so you were lucky enough as to have a 5th ball carrier, and one with frenzy to advance even further and get rid of pressure ... that's cool for me, take it!!

Take the AG and run! :P As the others noted, you just gained another ball handler, something Dwarves can really use. Plus, it helps that it's on a MV guy and not a leadfooted LB.

Having an extra AG3 player is great. Don't knock it at all. It means he can (at a pinch) pick up the ball, take hand offs or even dodge.

Give him Stand Firm if you get another double and you wont look back.

Hi!
I would (and did) take the +1 AG. As noted, this gives you 1 more potential ball carrier. This works out well in many ways.

1st you normally have only 4 AG 3 players, which can be a soft spot on a dwarf team. 2nd, should you score with the slayer you will gain SPPs much faster than just by making CAS (the normal way for slayers). And with frenzy you are can be kind of hard to defend against, since you can blitz your way out of many a tight spot.

I was once fortunate enough to get +2 AG slayer, who was a lot of fun to play with (he didn't last very long though - bluetooths orcs killed the guy). So, yes I would absolutely take the AG 3 slayer.

Yes, Ziggi is right. He was fun to play with ;)
Seriously speaking, a +2 AG dwarf is a real pain in the ass.

everyone else on your team can have those skills.

honestly, dwarves are a really cool team, they got a buttload of skills, but only lack in one thing: attributes. so you should take stat increases whenever they occur.
