Couple of HE players

Post by swilhelm73 »

Got an HE thrower with accurate, just got his second skill - no doubles - should I take block, dodge, sure hands, or dump off? Leaning towards dodge.

At the same time I have an HE elf linemen with kick and -av, who I rolled double 5s for. Should I take leader, jump up, or guard? Leaning towards leader since he is -av already and adding guard will make him a big target.

Well, I usually go Safe Throw for the throwers. Sure Hands is good for saving re-rolls though (and helps against those pesky wardancers with strip ball).
Leader is a good one on the injured guy. When your team grow older, you'll have 4 or 5 re-rolls and can ditch him as you'll no longer need the skill. By that time another guy has to take over his role as a kicker though.

If you've got a 2nd thrower who's already got Strong Arm don't take Safe Throw as the other one is your long bomb specialist.

Sure Hands - not a personal favourite as I almost always pick up the ball with a line elf and go for the quick pass to the thrower (those spps come in very handy for getting skills).

Dump Off - nice on an elf team, but to use it you have to get hit. So your style needs to suit the choice to get the most out of it.

Dodge is quite nice as it gives him a bit of protection and makes him harder to pin dow.

Line Elf - I think I'd take Dauntless or Guard anyone. -Av isn't such a big issue and any skill you give him makes him a target. Jump Up isn't a good idea as he's more likely to get stunned.
