Dawrf blitzer

Post by Poxous »

o.k. just looking for tips.

My team: Black Death; 12FF, 3 RR,

runner hail marry, block
runner block
Bliter - mighty blow
slayer - mighty blow, tackle, strip ball
slayer
9 long beards - 1 guard, 1 is a wizard

and the blitzer in question: tackle, mighty blow, and

I rolled double 5's

I am one of the better players in the league. So since I am pretty bashy right now hould I do catch? Leap? Dodge is too much of a no brainer.. Stand firm to step up for guard???

I welcome ideas!

I'd give him +1 MA. He is a blitzer after all. My second choice would be dodge for the same reason. Anything that can give blitzers better manouvrability (sp???) is good.

Yeah, MA+1 is extremely valuable, especially for players in slow teams, and most especially for dwarves (and khemri)

Let's put it this way Poxous:
The aim is to make your players (and their skills...) fit all together.
Since you invested in two runners, one of whom has hail mary pass, I would assume that you do intend to have a basic ball handling game, but don't want to always have a proper pass game as such - i.e. toss the ball at the other end of the pitch (especially with hail mary pass) where a part of your team will have relocated while you other players will keep the opponent busy somewhere else on the pitch.
The faster your players, the easier this method will be for you to apply.
-> get that +1ma!

On top of that, the faster your blitzer, the easier it will be for you to catch all those opposing players who thought they could run away from your dwarves... (and that's crucial when those sneaky guys actually have the ball in their hands and are about to score!!!)

take the +1 MV. Faster ballhanders and backfield defenders is just what the doctor ordered.

dwarves are the players who need the +1MA the most... their only disadvantage is they're slow, so when you can make up for that, go ahead :)

On a second thought: Take Stand Firm or Dodge or whatever.

Dwarves with MA-upgrades on blitzers, runners and slayers are simply too annoying...
