Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
newbie question, i know but i like to have more than one (mine) opinion
got a human blitzer in a small league of 4 teams (2 orcs 2 humans) i picked mighty blow first, now i think i ll take shadowing but hesitate between more option :
- first shadowing then tackle to make him a receiver and goblin hunter
- or pro to use when he catch or pick the ball
GUARD. You don't realise exactly how useful it is until you start using it and you miraculously get two dice your pick blocks all over theplace instead of one dice blocks...and its also very welcome when there are armies of Black Orcs lumbering around.
Of course, this depends on your Blitzer's role. I'd use a Catcher as a Goblin hunter myself, with Block/Diving Tackle/Shadowing.

Guard is a good suggestion. Remember that your linemen can get Tackle without requiring a double, and 4 goblins aren't too much problem once you've got a couple of tacklers.
Do you want that your blitzer take the ball or blitz or block quick opponent's players ?
With the first skill of Mighty blow. I think you would rather take the two last positions.
If you want that he stay in the scrimmage zone take Guard (or Pro).
If you want to blitz fast catchers take Tackle or Strip the ball or Frenzy.
If you want to annoy these fast catchers without blitzing them take Shadowing.

Ogres are the only true Blood Bowl players !
Ogrewomen are the only true BB Cheerleaders !
