nice question: think most players will axe them maybe that game unless got more than 16spp. if its a lineman with 0spp then niggle same as a death.

i retire when reach two niggles, but maybe faster in vault rules

Well, i play orcs, my big guy (an ogre at the time; old rules) got a niggling, and i retired him even though he had guard and block, plus i couldn't afford to get another big guy for a few games,
i kind of regreted it,
Now i have a black orc, w/block, guard, mighty blow with a Niggling,
i still have 3 other black orcs, none as sweet at he though,
and i was wondering if i should keep him on, or retire him when i can afford another black orc,
I have a single goblin on my team with a niggling 2, i'd replace him easy at 40k, but he has catch & sidestep on top of other goblin skills, so i'm keeping him till he gets another nig, or dies or something, but even then, with 2 niggling injuries i'm not sure if i want to retire my only uber catcher,
Thus i'm looking to see how nigglings have effected other players and how many it takes for others to retire their guys

I know of one coach in my league who has a rat ogre approaching Legend status, with 143 SPP and THREE Niggles! He's in our league championship game for the third year running, but risks not having the rat ogre in the final due to niggles (if he rolls more than one)...fanatical? Oh yes... :o

Ignore the black orc, he is worth keeping. If u have a roster position open, keep the gobbo until u have another worthy of replacing him.

Playing dark elves I can't afford to to get rid of all nigglers: too expensive. I just condemn them to scrimmage-line duty untill I have the cash to replace them, or untill they die (usually the second option comes around quicker :) ).

It depends.

Linemen with no skill = as fast as possible
Positional player with no more than one skill = soon as you have the cash to replace
Player with more skills = depends on the skils/your team, but usually they stick around longer till their second niggling/stat reduction.

In my Skaven Team I have two nigglers:
1x Block, Tackle, RSF Rat Ogre
1x Guard, Strip Ball Storm Vermin

I keep them bc. it took ages to get them there, but a second NI is usually the end of story if your league is competetive and have teams roughly the same strength/TR.

I retire my Nigglings at the point they suffered it.
This is because I don't have any luck to manage the NI roll.
At my last match I retired my 56SSP Witchelf as she suffered a NI.
This sounds hard but when she fails her NI roll then I have a SSP lack of 22 points which will save a handicap roll.
