Khemri or Dwarfs?

Post by Rascal »

Hello Everybody!

After some weeks of "reading only" the time for my first posting has come :-)

Me and some mates just founded a small (4-5P,1-2Human,Skaven,1-2Ork,Dwarf?) league.
Up to now i only played Woodies, and felt the time has come for a more bashy team.
The only problem is that i cant decide wether to play Dwarfs or Khemri.
From the rosters i tend to play Dwarfs, but i absolutly felt in love with the Khemri "look".
Here in Germany, a few days ago the "Dungeonball Kompendium" was released.
They updated the Khemri Roster, and gave both Ra´s AG3 but made the BlitzRa 90k. Through this is a major improvment, i still doubt thier scoring abilities.
I would be very happy to hear your opinions.

Thanks,
Rascal

who cares about ag 2,3 or 4 ?
with both dwarves and khemri you achieve td's through bashing up the other team and caging the ball downfield, so the only time you have to use your ag is while picking up the ball
stick to the team you like better, but IMO dwarves are VERY mighty. :x

AG3 ra's???

If that is right, take the Khemri, the only problem with Khemri is picking up the ball, but with AG3 np, the bashing will take care of itself, with 4 Mummies

i would say go with dwarves, at the moment i have a team at about TR200 and they are excellent, plenty of block and tackle, loads of mighty blow, a dirty player, dauntless troll slayers to take out any big guys (give them multi block as their first skill) and movement with your runners and blitzers. and i have an AG3 longbeard with pass for picking up the ball. i know this is frowned upon by some but the option of passing if you have to is lovely with a dwarf team, and it keeps your opppnent guessing. the only thing i am lacking is guard which will be my next skill for all longbeards. so as you can see they start off well developed and only get better, but the choice is all yours mate. i'm just satrting a necro team, haven't played with them yet but have a look at them, they are a bit more agile than the dwarfs and khemri but still have punch. hope this helps a little Rascal, and by the way welcome.

It seems to me that GW-Germany has managed to re-print their wrong Khemri roster from the White Dwarf, which was even wrong when it was originaly published in there one year before.

Stick to the LRB 3.0, they are the official rules. I had one of my league players drop out bc he wanted to play according to the DBK Khemri roster which is horribly broken. When I said to him that LRB 3.0 are the official rules, he contested it by saying DBK is "newer". I won't miss him...

Thanks for your replies :-)

@narkotic
I also noted the difference between LRB3 and the DBK, and asked 3 different GW Trolls about it. They all told me that this is a official rule (at least in Germany), and this was also the correct roster which was used in the Dungeonbowl Tournament.

I am a bit confused now :-)

Cheers,
Rascal

Btw, i made a mistake in my former post. The BlitzRa is 90k and they made the ThrowRa 80k.

no, it was not the roster they used at the Dungeonbowl. At that time they referred to the Rules Review 2003 and all Khemries had AG2. I posted a question at the offcial english B forum about that. I need something official to prove this big bullsh** that GW-Germany produced...

BTW why do you believe that geman MO-Trollz know about the rules, when the german WD editors don't? :D

BTW, the nurgle beast is also wrong in the DBK.

Don't the Germans always play by their own rules?

Not quite, we always win in overtime and you keep claiming that must be a houserule :D :D :D

But this time it does look like we're playing with our "own" rules. 0-6 Rotters for Nurgle teams for a start :-? :-?

I would play Dwarves because with their skills they are very powerful.
And you have the Block advantage at the beginning due most of the other races don't have this skill.
