Need Help!! PLZ

Post by RawHeadRexx »

Hiya's

I've just recently acquired the love for this game. I'm a newb slowly learning the in & outs of Bloodbowl... been playing a week now. I've signed up on FUMBBL and have created a few teams. My favourite team is the Orc, but it seems I can't win a game yet score a TD... I'm 0-10 thus far.... scored a messily 2 TD's. I've searched the net for orcish tactics and info, but I still come up on the losing end. I desire to become a decent coach and partake my new hobby to the fullest.

Here's my roster - Am I developing my team to it's fullest?

Any suggestions would be very helpful. And thnak you for your input and suggestions in advance.

Well, the first thing I notice is a 140+ TR Orc team, and no Tackle on your blitzers. Tackle's pretty important.

Without watching you play, there's not too much advice I can give. I'd suggest you read over the following team devleopment threads for LRB team advancement.

Balrog's guide to chaos:

Narcotic's Skaven Guide:

If memory serves, there are some good orc team building tips in Traveler's game by game orc updates as well.

EDIT - 2 Touchdowns in 10 games is not a good stat. I'd suggest you start using the classic Orc "Cage." (just do a search to find info)

The Cage is one of the most important tactics on offence - it's the easiest way to make sure you don't lose the ball too easily.

If you have some trouble scoring, a couple of Goblins are very useful. The Stunty/Dodge combination makes them really mobile, and if you give the Catch as their first skill, they make good catchers for your two Throwers to pass to.

yeah u need some tackle and ui think you need to buy a troll more guard thats what a orc team needs so when they gfo into the cage no one can hit anyone play because most of them have guard

That reminds me to update my Skaven guide to LRB 3.0 rules. Everything about Rat Ogres in there is wrong by now. I've seen rookie Rat Ogres being used as Storm Vermin substitutes these days...

Drop the cheerleaders and assistant coaches and 1 orc lineman. Chances are you never run out of reserves right? This will lower your TR/SR and allow you to find some easier games.

Otherwise you need to play games to practice. Most coaches have developed their tactics by playing bloodbowl for years...
