well, if dodge is very nice with AG5, it is BECAUSE it includes a reroll...

anyway, i'd go with leap, then block, then strip ball/tackle, with guard on doubles.

Leap should scare the bejesus out of quite a few of your opponents - especially alongside 2 Wardancers. That makes 3 guys who can very easily get behind a defensive line to take out a passer - almost forces the opponent to weaken their front line, at which point you can gang up on it if you want to.

Getting Guard would be a very useful addition - leap into action and assist all those blocks taking down a cage or pretty much whatever defensive formation your oppoent can come up with.

Block / Dodge probably more useful for keeping the player alive though. :)

Once again Mo's Marauders clear the field. Can anyone stop them? This reporter doesn't think so!

I would probably pick Leap as well, I've always thought it was a great skill, especially on a 2+.

The other option I would consider is going the Pass Blocker route with Pass Block, Catch and Dodge. Intercept on a 4+ with a Re-roll is not bad if you can get him in the Throwing lane.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

Id take dodge, then block on the skill roll after that. Once they are blodgers, they will survive long enough to think about what other skills to give them. Besides you have wardancers for doing leaping with. A leaping elf without block or dodge is as good as a dead elf. Once your elf has leaped into the opponents cage and rolled attacker down (much easier without block), you have a prone ag5 leaper in the middle of 3-5 opposing players. Did someone say "wheres the DP..."

With 2 Wardancers the other Team is already scared enough about leap so you dont need another one doing the Wardancers job and as Grod already said with no Block and/or Dodge and an Armor of 7 he is against most Teams not staying long enough in the Game to use Leap in the same profitable way like Dodge in my opinion.

Original question was posted Nov 2003 so hopefully he has decided by now... but I will reply anyway. :D

My vote is Dodge as well - 5AG Dodge may not help cage-breaking, but it can get you into the backfield about as well as Leap and greatly helps w/survivability.
