Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
Although the Tackle / Strip Ball option may sit well with Leap, I wouldn't go this route (without Leap) since if you blitz with this Blitzer you need someone else to retrieve the ball - so I would blitz with another Blitzer and use your AG 5 blitzer to retrieve the ball and dodge hand off / dodge pass to an open / protected team mate.

Isn't it the point that its quite likely he's the only player who can get near the ball carrier - 2+ dodges into 2 TZ's gives him a shot at the ball carrier, where other Blitzers haven't got a hope.
Sure - as Chet always says you need 2 of them! Of course getting another 5 AG blitzer will be tough. The problem is if you blitz with the 5 AG blitzer and get the ball out its difficult to get the ball away (if you need to blitz with him it is almopst certain that the ball will be in at least 1 or more TZs). Obviously if you can't blitz with anyone else, then thats what you must do. But... IMO a 5 AG blitzer will be picked on. If he blitzes into a crowd and cannot / doesn't run away - it is likely he will be in serious trouble next turn - block (until down), foul. Personally, I would prefer to put my Black Orcs against the cage and try to block / force an opening so that another blitzer can blitz the ball carrier. Then use your AG 5 blitzer to get the ball and get out of trouble. I agree though, each strategy has its plusses and minuses!
One of the things I keep forgetting is that my league plays that you don't have to pickup, so you can often ruck the ball out from a couple of TZ's. This makes getting the blitz in far more important for development than being able to pick up the ball once its on the ground.
If you are playing normal rules then AG5 would really help here, and you can even see a good argument for Sure Hands as the next skill.
I've got an Orc Blitzer with AG5 (his first two skills!), I made the decision to get him Pass Block next time he leveled up. When the roll came along it came up double 6's !!! too good to turn down so he's got ST4 AG 5 and Block. I tend to use him as a catcher, as his sturdiness and nimbleness annoy the hell out of people.

Saying that my current Orc team has a +ST +AG Orc thrower, and a +ST blitzer, and another +AG blitzer
An explanation is in order:
In my league we use a 'talent' House rule instead of ageing.
Whenever you roll for a skill, roll one dice. On 4+ you can select the skill normally. On 1-3 the skill must be chosen randomly.
The star player roll allowed me to select a standard Strength or General skill.
And I selected Pass Block.
If I had to choose a random anytable skill, I would have chosen from the agility table.
