I have run a pretty successful HE team for 2 seasons (lost just twice in the league).
My theory is to train two lion warriors for offence (Dodge, Sprint, Sure Feet, Nerves of Steel, etc), two for defence (Strip Ball, Pass Block, Block, etc), and my dragon warriors as a mix of both.
Dodge is definatley a must, Strip Ball, Dauntless, Guard, Mighty Blow, Tackle, are all very good skills to take.
I suggest mixing them up between the two.
Have fun.

Guard, Mighty Blow?!? How many doubles do you roll on your 2 DW's?
My two cents: get dodge, sidestep and strip ball.
If you're lucky enough to get an AG increase, take leap.
For doubles I recommend Mighty Blow. Guard's nice, but you want your DW to nail the ball carrier, not to be in the LoS.
I like to play with two offensive (dodge, block, sidestep) Lion Warriors and two defensive ones (block, pass block, shadowing, strip ball). On the attack, send out the 2 LW's and the 2 DW's to the front. Your opponent will find a hard time tying those four players down.
When defending, use the other LW's to follow the catchers, and the DW's to get to the thrower. This way, you have multiple options to get the ball loose in the field. And you know Elves can pick up a ball.....if there not too unfortunate.

I agree. Sure Hands is only necessary for one thing when you are playing high elves: Holding on to the ball when blocked by opponents with strip ball.
With Block, dodge, and ag+1 you should definately take leap or is anything else; tackle og side step. I would also choose leap. This way you would have a blitzer, who could leap into a cage and get the ball from your opponent as well as a blitzer, who could leap out of any trap the opponent had setup.
