Hmmm, having played only 10 or so games with lizzards I am hardly an expert. I will slightly explain myself as far as the above set-up goes.Larris wrote:Code: Select all

It has changed a bit now I have bought a krox as well though.
I always set up a screen of Sauri and position the skinks in such a way the opponent can not blitz them. The set-up shown here is a very defensive variety, not my normal way of deploying, which would be more like:
Code: Select all
35
xxxx|SxxKxxS|xxxx
xxSx|xxxxxxx|xSxx
xxxx|SLLxLLS|xxxx

I risk the quick snap by puting the flanking Sauri on the second line. This way it becomes harder for the opponent to get the assists needed for a 2 dice block on the LoS Sauri. The flanks are not completely covered, but also not quite open. Usually what the opponent will do is to blitz one of the second row Sauri and move down the flank with at least a screen, if not a LOT of players. I can now move 2 Sauri and 4 skinks to block off that path. Alternatively if the opponent does not choose a flank I move the skinks to the back of his formation/cage to get his players caught between 2 lines of my players.
Once again: I'm still just learning myself. My rule as to how far back to place the 2 Sauri and the sinks is not yet set in stone.
