I'm playing in a league with a skaven team, the league has just kicked of (3 matches played for each team) and soon my skaven will have to go against a lizardmen team. I have played this team before with my skave in a non-league match and I got beaten up badly.
the thing is, whenever I put my Gutter runners deep he marks them with some skinks and goes for my ball carrier with his saurusses. On both fields I can't win the fight. My gutter runners are the only one with skills (2x block, 1x big hand) and I just can't see how I can win. I can't beat up his skinks as his saurusses protect them.
On defence it's even worse, I can't do anything to stop him. Does anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT: shouldn't matter much but we use PBBL rules.

anytime you have a chance to blitz any of his skinks with a block rat, do it.
you cant outblock him, concentrate on the ball - your AG4 is way better then his AG3. And he cant throw, just hand off. Try to mark important sauri - those that can reach places close to ball.
on defense, you have 2 options - none of them is easy as skaven are not known for their great defense
1. mark all the players, so he cant move a lot. though it is a risky plan - I think not a good one for the beggining of the match.
2. let him score, but make pressure on him, so he has to score fast and you will have time to score back

Nine out of ten goblins wouldn't miss it for a one-way Troll Air ticket to the end-zone!
