Highelf or Dwarf
Which Cockerel do you prefer on a tournament, for example the Dungeon Bowl?
Highelf:
6 Lineelf
1 Phóenixwarrior
2 Lionwarrior
2 Dragonwarrior
2 RR
2 FF
Dwarf:
5 Longbeard
2 Runners
2 Blitzer
2 Trollslayer
3 RR
3 FF
I´m thinking of a running team or a bashy team. There will be many bashy teams on the DB 06 i think.

Yes! What did you expect? Your want to change from a finesse team to a bashing team. So you can do a search in the internet to find out more about the dwarfs tactics and you can do more training games. If you are intressted o play a game. Just download the pbembbl tool and we can start a demo game in which I can show you the tactics of the dwarfs....

bottom line is this: both teams are fun, both can win, but both have VERY different ways of achieving that.
would you rather play a fluid game of mobility, speed, and precision blocking, or would you rather make a big pile in the middle of the field and grind it slowly as an unstoppable force?
the answer to that question tells you what team to play. i am a very good dwarf coach, if i do say so myself, but i rarely play them because i find their style very boring.

I would never take part in a Tournament with a Team I´m not experienced with so you should stick to the elves I think, when you are able 2 handle them.

Depends on wheter you're going to the tourney only to win, or wheter you're going to have fun, and hope you win.Aksho wrote:I would never take part in a Tournament with a Team I´m not experienced with so you should stick to the elves I think, when you are able 2 handle them.
If I only played the teams I was experianced with, I'd have played Norse at every touney I've attended. More often than not, my tourney teams become my future league team.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I`m able to make 5 - 8 matches before the DB with my dwarfes.
But i need some tactics from you.
And which skills should i give them in a tourney. Whats nessassary for the players?
Guard for the Longbeards?
Mighty Blow for the Blitzers and Trollslayers?
And for the runners?
There are six games and whta is important?

While keeping in mind that I do not play dwarves at tournaments, I have had the misfortune of playing against them....habasta wrote:I`m able to make 5 - 8 matches before the DB with my dwarfes.

The team that seems to be most consistent at not losing the ball (prime dwarf requirement for play), first has block on a runner, then 2+ guard longbeards, and all the rest is optional (I would personally also take block on the second runner, for safety and defense, and guard on everything else).

I would prefere the high elves.... but it seems you will play dwarves
tatics for them? stay together and hit 'em all
as mentioned before strip ball can be good, but guards are always the pain in the a.... and maybe a dirty player in your cage makes your opponent even more nervous
anyway....good luck and fun

When you are experienced to play High Elfs the step to the dwarfs is very big. So I would agree with the Da_Great_MC and play many games as possible and play differnet races with differnet coaches. For that you can try to play games on Fumble or via email.Da_Great_MC wrote:Tournaments are all about fun. But if I came to win, I would never bring a team unless I had at least 20 games experience with it. 20 at the very least !I`m able to make 5 - 8 matches before the DB with my dwarfes.
