I've been doing it lately (tho I dont' go to many tourneys outside of Gencon.)

my roster has been
2xBlitzers
2xSlayers
2xRunners
5xLongbeards
2xRR
2XFF
1xApoth

Basically, I've traded in one RR and 1 FF for an apothecary.

Beleive it or not, in about 80% of my tourney games, I've had to use the apothecary.. To me, it's a 50k player...and all my players are 70k+

Dwarves depend on the blocking game and on getting up a player (or 3) on the other team...losing players to injury can disrupt that alot.

I've personally found that the apothecary is well worth the loss of a RR.

--dwarves have Sure Hands to RR the pick up..and have block to lessen the need for a RR use in blocking..so they don't have a burning need for RR's (tho it does kinda force you into a slower, more methodical game plan...no risky playes like handing off or anything)

Playing a team without frenzy I like to have the second line of the 3-4-4 be 4 longbeards, to take advantage of thier tackle skill. Though I usually only field one runner.
