Eh, Big Guys have their place, but I see so many coaches who start their turn with a Big Guy and have them in the middle of the play as part of their planned attack.
I don't like to use Big Guys as anything but very big roadblocks which can deny a large area of the pitch to my opponent and/or effectively split the board in half (if they start the half in the center of the LOS and control the eight adjacent squares around them). I'll do EVERYTHING else first before letting the BG throw any Blocks at all, and even then only if the player(s) he's tying up don't much matter if they run free. The ONLY time I use a BG early in a turn is if I know I'm only going to move him to use his TZs, so I can see if he fails his WA/BH/RS roll, I can adjust my plan accordingly.
Of course, using BGs in this way makes me less turnover-prone, but requires more time (matches) to skill up my BG at all, and that's a lot of TR to have standing around on the pitch doing nothing but exerting TZs. If, however, he can consistently tie up 2 players from the opposing team, I can live with it.
To relate this more to the topic at hand, I think a minotaur adds a lot to a CD team, but using Frenzy requires a lot of patience and careful pushblocking. Trolls are more suited to the way I play BGs, but I use a Minotaur on my FUMBBL CD team because even if he fails his WA he still exerts his TZs.
