its a vault 1.11 league (i hope i mentioned it), and the orc & human coach is the most feared for me. we use the optional rule which allows manual mvp distribution.
with wolves loosing catch (ang gaining regen) i think i will need 3 RRs, but against norse (4 frenzy player) the golems SF is invaluable. i think i must decide between the
3RR, 2Wolf, 1FG, 2Wight, 6 zombie
and
3RR, 2Wolf, 2wight, 2ghoul, 5 zombie
startups.
thx for the help.

Keep in mind that the Wights in 1.11 (at least in the draft) now have Strength access which will give Necros a little extra punch. Either way, those Norse will give you problems to begin with - I would try the 1st route & use the FG to shelter the Wolves (as much as possible) then get the 2nd one - If you give the MVP's to the FGs you can have block on them pretty quick & annoy those Norse. Of course, the Norse now get those darned Ulfwerners... :o could put a dent in your team.

Edit:
also they have those Block, Dauntless, MA 7 runners. Honestly in such a short season all those starting skills are weighing heavily in their favour.

This is too late as you've probably already picked what you want but I thought I'd throw in my experience against Werewolves.

I lost my first game with my Dwarves against my friend's Neco team, 3-0 (the worst beating anyone has suffered in our league and I'm the 'knowledgable' one. *sigh* :) ). Basically, I couldn't pick up the ball after a kick off (sure hands my arse...) and hole was made and his Werewolves came tearing in, grabbing the ball and scoring a TD. His Werewolves were everywhere, constantly capitalizing on my mistakes/his lucky breaks. ONE Werewolf alone picked up all three touchdowns, not to mention the (rightly deserved) MVP award. :(

The Flesh Golems were easily kept in one place or easily outrun. It's the Werewolves with their insane movement ability. Give them dodge, they are well-rounded players who can do anything.

It's never too late :) We will have a start meeting at wednesday, and every member will decide the team startup (anyway it cant be the final startups, as the 1.11 will be finalized in february as I know, and maybe there will be some price changes)

Just some experience: i tried all of the setups available for me in fumbbl, the 2 wight is standard (block, regen, AV8 is a must in this league i think), the other pieces was variabled by me. I'm trying to play without using catch and SF dodge, and only rely to running game. (try to simulate 1.11 skillset)
I found out that the FGs does not help me very well against bashy teams, because they always get 2d blocks and they are so slow always to stand up, and once the action is gone from them, they cant catch up again easily. I think, if there is no speeder player on the pitch, (wights are mid-speeders in this point of view) than the team is lost.
So in final i decided the 2wolf, 2wights, 2ghouls, 5zombie, 3RR route.
With this i have the speed to exploit the errors in the tactic or in the dice of the enemy player. (as Redeemer mentioned with his dwarfs) and its not easy to knock out all the 4 players. with the 3RR i can avoid frenzy turnovers and can compensate the lost catch of the wolves.
Of course is should be good to avoid the norse team 1 or 2 game (to get block or dodge for the wolves), because they have the speed (mv7 block) and the str (str4 frenzy and mv6) to win against the rookie necro team. once my players starts to gain skills, and afford the two FG's, it will be more balanced for me.
Thx for the good advices i got.
