I belive he will be dead in a short time- since I play in a hack and slach leage ( and I would kill him myself if my opponent had this gay) - but how do I play him until then?? He´s got block and dogde.
Next game aginst full roster CD team including Minit.
I have 11 players - 1 stormvermin - 3 GR - 2 Throwers - no RO

Don't field him in games where you think he'll be likely taken out. If you're that worried about him, don't field him at all until you can get some muscle to protect him.

He should definately get pass block. Till he does just use him as a helper on defense and a scorer on offense.

If you know for certain that your opponent goes after him, then use him that way.

On offence - sacrifice him to protect your true ball carriers.

On defence - if the ball gets loose, you have the best player ever to pick up a loose ball no matter how many tackle zones. Not to think of the interceptions he can make. If the ball doesn't gets loose, then use him as an assist for your blitzer. With AG6 and dodge he can move through any wall of tackle zones.

If he makes it (which is not that uncertain given his block/dodge) and gets another skill Pass Block will suit this one quite well.

Sorry but he must field him. He said he only has 11 players and you must field as close to 11 players as possible. His best bet is to keep him well protected in a cage until he can break free to score. On defense just keep him back as a "goal tender"

Just use him. There's no need to hold back good players.

Use him alone, move him to catching+scoring positions.

If the opponent concentrates on him, he's a bait - he's sacrificing himself for the greater good (or cheese). In that case you score with the other runners or blitzers.
But if he's left alone or only lightly guarded, just pass to him - it's a 2+ catch even with two TZ's... then just walz in and score.

My Chaos Pact team has used their skaven runner as a bait - and occasionally to try to score also (damn bugger failed that EZ catch...).

Actually, i consider leap a waste on an AG6 player, as he can make most dodges at 2+ anyway. And it's even more of a waste if the player already has the dodge skill, which is the case for a gutter runner. I agree with pass block, but i'd take catch to complement it, not leap.

The benefit of leap, to my mind, is not to avoid making a dodge, it's to avoid making 3 or 4 dodges.

Just like my other GR that off course did get ???? +1 AG.
Actually I only lost 3 - 4 and most off the time playing with 6-8 player on the field. I´m kind off proud about that. Thank you for the advice

I think the bestbit of advice I can give you is to get more linerats, that way you won't have to field your GR every drive.

If you really don't want to lose him, I'd say you'll have to do the famous hit-and-run charge. In american football the quarterback is guarded by several guys who always get beaten up by the offense from their opponents... may advise is: do the same. Use your bunch of linerats to guard your gutter runner, make a hole in their defence, let him run through it and then throw the ball after him.
There might be a chance the ball won't hit home, but if you throw it a (very) far end then you'll be on the way for a nice bunch of TD's in your game.
