Crunching some numbers

Post by UberEvil »

Hi all,

I'm a statistics major who wanted to know what the bashiest skill combinations are + compare skills from the 4th and 5th edition of the rules.

I've made a page with my calculations (or rather the results of my calculations) at http://ornen.se/BB/ so please go have a look.

Some conclusions drawn from the results:

*For maximum carnage, up to AV 8, RSC + C + PO from LRB4 is the way to go. AV9 or higher and C+MB+PO from LRB5 is the new king. PO really kicks in nicely when you have both MB and Claw

*Getting just MB will likely double the number of casualties the player will make! Having just PO is about the same, but with PO you have to lay down, so MB is most likely the better first choice in most, if not all situations.

*Having no skills is always worst

*MB might or might not be better than Claw. Most often I think it's better though.

*Should you re-roll KO's with PO if able? Well, thats up to you. I would probably stay with the KO result unless I was facing thick skulled dwarfs where KO's are likely to fail.

There might very well be errors, especially typing errors which in turn gives wrong probabilities.

If you have any questions whatsoever, just fire away. All input much appreciatied.

Oh... if you have any probability questions regarding BB, just ask.

Wow, nice work. I love the graphs. In fact, they really put into perspective how broken RSC were.

Additionally, I guess it further confirms my estimation of the holy triumvirate of BB skils: block dodge and Mighty Blow.
