ST increase ever worth it on a Stunty?

Post by zephard »

Now that I have found that +1 ST raises TV by 50k, is it worth it on a Stunty?

I play in the MBBL league, playing an Underworld team, where I have a couple of guys with ST 3, and non stunty. I would take it on them in a heart beat, but thinking would I raise the value of a gobbo by 50k for a ST 3 gobbo?

With Gobbos you have a str 3 player now who can watlz into a cage and hit the ball carrier. If you have other gobbos you can cancel assists and get an even hit on a well guarded ball carrier. I see it as benifical. Secondly it might increase the survivability of said gobbo and thus allow him to advance more (a doubles, block str 3 gobbo I would love this on any team).
One other advancement note: Imagine if you rolled a 12 again Str4 stunty would be an excellent cage breaker.

I play lizardmen and would never pass a +str on a skink, unless he already had a lot of improvements and I had groomed him for something special where strength wouldn't be an asset.

Take it. I have a STR3 Gobbo on my Orc team, and he's great. It is worth the 50k in TV.

Take it.
Get Guard on another Gobbo, and you can get a 2D Blitz on many players in a cage.

I'm sure I misread that. I'm sure it was supposed to say "ST+ ever NOT worth it on a stunty?", to which of course the answer is no.

You have apparently never played against ST3 skinks before :D
I managed 2 on my lizard team, and they are truly annoying for your opponent.

Another vote for taking +ST on a Stunty :D . My LRB4 Ogre team had a ST3 Blodge Goblin 8) - he was fantastic :D !

However, I'm not sure about Snotlings... For them taking Block, Sure Hands or Dirty Player might even be better than +ST.

Cheers

I had a +ST, block, jump up gobbo in my first orc league team and he was a TD-scoring monster 8)

... RIP Rondel the gobbo

:o How many times can you say *&^% yes!

S3 stunty runs into cages and hits the ball carrier with a 1 dice block. Gorgeous!
