Ah, Pro Elves are so rare this day ...

Okay, Side Step and Stand Firm are both good skills, but I would prefer Side Step over Stand Firm all the time. It´s my personal thought, that´s why I wrote, that Dodge would be the better choice. I just love to put three player with Side Step on the Line of Scrimmage and then tease the opponent, maybe even get one player behind their Front Line to get the ball :) My favorite Tactic als Elf, until they hunt down my Blitzer... oh well

But the Saurus will go down more easy without dodge n'est ce pas?

Depends on the dice. I played a game skav's v ogres, all first half, not a single rat went down, nothing but pushes, in that case, side step is much more useful.

Granted, the chances of that actually happening again are about as likely as you ever having a full head of hair.

I'd take sidestep. No doubt dodge is a great skill but many times all the opponent cares about is pushing your str4 monster away. In time as the team develops gaurd no doubt will be the way to go and I hear gaurd sidestep str4 is a "ok" combo.

I'd ignore the double and take block or break tackle.

Having had a Blodge BT Saurus, I'd say take Dodge.

On a Saurus I'd always take Stand Firm over Side Step, for the 10k reduction in price. I need to save as much TV as possible for Blodging Skinks, and for the effective difference between Side Step and Stand Firm I don't think the 10k is worth it.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

I went for Dodge in the end. I agree with Darkson that the 10 k added value is not worth it to take Sidestep over Stand Firm. That left me with chosing to ignore the double or to take Dodge. I took Dodge, just because a Blodge or Deak Tackle (!) Saurus seems very cool!

AND there are 5 more Sauri to take the normal skills... Now let's hope he does not get killed immediately on the next gfi... ;)

Cheers!
