I haven't read most of this thread, so sorry if this has already been covered...
But I like Kick Off return on a thrall with a Vamp Thrower.
The theory is, if you roll doubles (for pass/accurate) or +AG on a vamp they make a Dude Thrower... Until they fail a BL.
So give a Thrall K-OR. He moves toward the ball, and helps cover it defencivly (in case you can't pick it up for whatever reason) and if your vamp-thrower goes on a BL, he can still go for the ball and the trip to a thralls neck is 3MA shorter. Even if you decide to hang on rather than throw the ball, you can still move the thrall back into the action.
It protects your team from the kick skill or a Sweet boot (which I imagine would be a nightmare if you have a Vamp thrower - The last place I'd want that guy is on his own in the middle of no where)
