Diving Tackle Vs Prehensile Tail

Post by PubBowler »

Or in this case Prehensile Beard.

I acquired a Chaos Dwarf team a little while ago and am thinking about giving a run out in the local league.

I'm also a big fan of Diving Tackle on my Dwarf team (1st choice for doubles with a blocker) but now have a 2nd option due to CD's mutation access.
Same price, same role, just different.

So which skill do the CD coaches out there prefer?

Opinions, Insights, Random Reckons: All are welcome.

I'd take a claw on doubles.
But anyway, I think diving tackle is a wee bit better, going prone for a turnover is worth it IMO, and DT is twice as good at that then PT.

Diving Tackle as the dwarf already have Tackle. Makes it a cruel combination against Low AV and AG3 players (human catchers, amazons, norse etc.)

Diving Tackle. In a million years, when he goes up again, you have an eensy-weensy shot at both!

Thats for the Blocker who gets a double for his first skill roll.
Then MB & Piling On.

I figure that DT or Prehensile Beard can be given to any build of Blocker.
Although normally best with Stand Firm.

I like putting the Diving Tackle on hobgoblins. Make for great support players of the CD and the Mino. I personally like Claw on a couple of CD, and sidestep on the rest of them. Guard/Sidestep is a great combo on dwarves, very annoying....

I like Disturbing Presence...

Cdwarves are a Defence team (You get more TDs rubbishing your opponents efforts than you do trying to set up your own)

Makeing ie even harder to PASS/CATCH/INT can only be a good thing!

Good call on Disturbing Presence. DT still ain't bad.

On any team, defense is more important than offense if you're winning.
