Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
hello,
until i can buy some skaven, i want to use the chaos i have from fantasy to make a team just to play some games. this team is for fun games, NOT leage games:
8 beastmen
3 warriors
3 RR
1 FF
i cant use a BG yet cuz i dont have a model.( im alreddy using kroot for beastmen )
for plays, i thought just get some one at or past the line and do a short pass to a blitz or something. it looks to me like chaos is a 'normal' team in the sence that its not great at anything, but ok at everything.
if im wrong, please tell me what u do with your chaos.
thanks

For one off games in a non star enviroment with Chaos I'd go for...
4 Chaos Warriors
7 Beastmen
2 Re-Rolls
4 Fan Factor
With star players allowed...
1 Lord Borak
2 Chaos Warriors
8 Beastmen
2 Re-Roll
3 Fan Factor
And in standard leagues, I'd go with...
1 Chaos Warrior
10 Beastmen
3 Re-Rolls
9 Fan Factor

From what I can tell, Star Players, timed turns, and Illegal Procedure are the most common unused rules in the game. My league uses all three, but I'd reccomend you season to taste, especially with newer players.
Timed turns are not cool....most players finish their turns within a reasonable amount of time.. but in some situations, you REALLY need to just sitback and think for a minute. I would not want to ruch a player's decision... let the best strategies (and luck of the roll) determine things. If a player does take took long, a swift kick in the rear will usually speed up the process.
A question for those of you who use timed turns: Does the coach need to call TIME-OUT to go to the restroom? If so, how many Time-outs does he get? LOL!!
We usually have timed turns (and unlimited number off time-outs). I think that adds more randomness to the game. You can "force" your opponent to mistakes by putting them in difficult positions. They then don´t have an unlimited amount of time to think out the absolutely best option.
In our timed league, breaks are usually held off on until after a touchdown is scored or halftime. If you really have to go, then take your break after your own turn and cede the extra studying time to your opponent.
