I never had a High Elf team, but I have used Dark Elves. And with agilty 4 on my linemen, I usually did not purchase more than 1 positional player (a witch elf). If you want a throwing game, keep your thrower, but use your linemen as recievers. They will catch the ball on 2s anyway. I would thus convert your 3 catchers to linemen and put the difference into Fan Factor.TzTz wrote:Hi, I'm playing High Elf currently and am going to start a Khemri team as well, soon. The League will start new all over, so here are my two so far starting rosters:
High Elf:
7 Linemen (510k left)
3 Catchers (240k left)
1 Thrower (150k left)
3 Rerolls (0k left)
I tried it out in some test 100TR games and it seemed to work quite well, although ONE of the catchers seemed to be likely to miss the next game. But you have a decent passinggame from the start, that is not easy to stop for most opponents.
Khemri:
4 Mummies (560k left)
1 Thro-Ra (490k left)
1 Blitz-Ra (400k left)
6 Skeletons (220k left)
3 Rerolls (10k left)
10k in treasury
I find a Thro-Ra indispensable. If you have no Thro-Ra it can take ages to get the ball, which can be quite risky against dodgin AG4 Gutter Runners e.g.. Four Mummies are essential as well. Instead of taking the Blitz-Ra i could as well take one additional reroll, but Blitz-Ras are the last line of defense if some player gets by your slow mummies. The Thro-Ra with his new 6 MA is often able to assist a block and the Blitz-Ra with block succeeds more frequently in stopping the enemy ball-carrier.
However, I'm not too experienced yet and, thus, I'm interested in your opinion. I'm not quite sure, especially about the High Elf roster...
Your Khemri seem pretty solid. I agree with you about the Thro-Ras being the only consistent way to carry the ball and score, and I might even drop the Blitz-Ra innitially for a second Thro-Ra. And put that money into Fan Factor. Forget saving the 10K, put it in fan factor and it will quickly earn itself back.
