having not played an elf team in a tournament yet, I was wondering what people made of witch elves
do you take any, if so 1 or 2, both in 1mil or 1.1mil?
what about skills, obv block going to me the main choice
though what about tournies that value the skills differently and block is really expensive?
hows juggernaut, sidestep, wrestle or something else factor in etc?

Sidestep is a fantastic skill for darkelves. Darkelves will also be very good for the flamebowl because they have alot of starting skills, espeially the expensive (as per flamebowl) ones - block, dodge, frenzy. I notice that tackle is a 4 point upgrade(!) so I dont think you'll have too much of it to contend with, two sidestepping witches could be ALOT of fun.
Other skills that stand out as a good buy for elves...
DT, Wrestle, +Mv/+Av, Shadowing (really cheap but effective), JU, KOR, +St
Might also be worth considering some fend, dont have enough experience with the skill to recommend it but some people seem to love it.
Edit: you're gonna have to be able to do something about the muscle teams that rely on strength instead of guard, with guard so expensive I dont predict alot of dwarf teams etc. Maybe dauntless.

Only ever played in 1.1M tournis with DEs. And I take 2 WEs.
My team is 2 WEs, 3 Blitzers, 1 Runner, 5 Line 3 RRs,
Block on WEs are always the first two skills. Then normally Dodge on the Blitzers. Simple but effective.

Witch elfs are really good in tournament.
They have dodge. That makes them mobile on the pitch without burning expensive RR's.
They have frenzy. That makes the pitch more narrow for the opponent.
Last two skills combined with jump up, makes that she will hunt you everywhere.
Block is good, but wrestle is also good. Good to hunt ball carriers and you are protected against block result.
