My (destroyed) star team: Norses.

Post by Ragnar Northwind »

Hey.

My norse team, Khazag Vikings, is now going to the second season. I placed in ladder ranking as the 5th/6, but in Jumbo-final orc team PuPo BBC killed three of my 11 players, including ulf. With the money I have I bought two more linemans. for now, I have:

-Thrower RAGNAR w. AG+, accurate, safe throw and NES.
-Lineman, that is blodger-tackle.
-Lineman with Kick and Strip ball
-Lineman w. catch
-Runner with Dodge
-and couple of the linemans, berserkers and snow troll with no skills.

My next play is against league-rambling skaven team. Can i have some advices about skill progress and hints against next races: Skaven, necromancer and pro-elf-teams?

I'm not sure how experienced you are with Norse but these are my reccomendations.

Beserkers with Guard and/or mighty blow are nice. Give the snow troll mighty blow then juggernaught unless you roll a double, then take block! If you get any more ulfs give them block as the first skill then more guard perhaps. I would normally play a running game but if you really want to pass you might want to take catch on the runner.

With skaven You want to get your tackle player to kill the gutter runners ASAP! They are the main threat. The whole team is fairly mobile actually so you might want to set up a little deeper in defence.

Necromantic teams are annoying to play against. Watch as his flesh golems ruin your frenzy block by standing firm. Be careful not to set up anyone near the sides of the pitch as he has frenzy on his werewolfs. And again use your tackle player to take out his Ghouls. They are the main scoring threat.

Don't let pro elf blitzers get near your ball carrier. They are not easy to shift if they get a tackle zone on him. Side step is an increadible annoying skill. Also be careful if you frenzy block these players as you can put yourself in some bad situations either with 2 dice against or sitting on the edge of the pitch! Their catchers are pretty bad ass also. Kill them with your tackler once again. You probably also want to set up a bit deeper against this team.
