Dark Elves for Spike
I plan on playing Dark Elves for the Spike this year and this is the roster I have in mind.
6 Lineman
2 Blitzers
1 Assasin
1 Runner
1 Witch Elf
2 Rerolls
0 FF
My main concern is which skills to give my players after each match, I have never played Dark Elves before.

Block, Dodge, Tackle on anyone who can get them ( in that order, if they already have one give them another)
sure hands, safe throw on the runner,
assassins need sidestep, and dodge and block.

Imagine flying into someone else's country and killing it's leader with a cane. And then taking all thier money. Well he's Scrouge McDuck and I guess he can do whatever the flip he wants.

One skill per game, right?
Kick on Lineman or Blitzer (it ain't a league; put it on the toughest player who sets up inside)
Wrestle on Witch
Dodge on Blitzer (or Wrestle Witch or Lino if you know you're facing Dwarfs next)
Dodge on Blitzer or Wrestle on Witch or Lino
If you know your next opponent in advance and your #2 opponent is speedy, take the Wrestle Witch before the Kick Lino.
Tackle is a good selection for Blitzers in some formats, but if I'm remembering right and it's one skill per game, you're better off relying on your Witches to take out Blodgers.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Sure hands on the Runner followed by making your blitzers annoying blodgers sounds hard to go wrong with.
If you want to take a risk, you could save the 20kgp from your first game and combine it with your game 2 skillup funds to buy an AG+1 for your 3rd game. My guess is that AG5 would be absolutely deadly against most other TV100 teams.
Hope we get a match in on Sunday (for the title of course

I wouldn't take Sure Hands on a Runner in this Format; if I took a Runner and skilled him it would be Accurate or NOS, as NOS+Dump-Off is better than Sure Hands where Strip Ball is concerned. I probably wouldn't do any of that, though: if you're afraid of Strip Ball, then put Sure Hands on a Blitzer instead.

Agreed. You're not going to see any tackle until game 5 or 6 so you'll get a lot of mileage out of the blodging. The kicker could also single-handily win a game for you against the heavy bashers.

Yep, this is is quite good. 4 Blitzers and 7 Linemen. Another option is 3 Blitzers, 1 Witch and 7 Linemen, which I prefer. At TV100, Assassins and Runners are not worth it IMO.wedge22 wrote:I am thinking that 4 Blitzers with Blodge and a Lineman with Kick would also be quite annoying.
First thing, get Kick on a lineman. Then aim to get 3 blitzers with Dodge, and one with either Dodge or Tackle depending on the opposition.
If you chose the roster with the Witch, then she gets Wrestle first, then Kick on a lineman, and then Dodge on the 3 Blitzers. The Witch is used to hunt Dodgers, so there is less of a need for Tackle.
Good luck.

Yeah. What Cramy said. Which I think I said already, but I'll second someone else saying it. Yeah. That chicky is hard to deal with. Frenzy lets you do all sorts of crazy things, and she too is only one skill away from Blodge.Cramy wrote:If you chose the roster with the Witch, then she gets Wrestle first, then Kick on a lineman, and then Dodge on the 3 Blitzers. Well in the end I went into the Spike with 7 Lineman 4 Blitzers 2 RR and 1 FF. I had a great tournament and managed a 4-1-1 and the only game I lost was the 1st one against my friends Orc Team which managed 7 KO's on me in the 1st half. As for the skills I went with Kick, Dodge, Dodge, Leap and Leap. I think If I play this team again in a Tourney then it will be 7 Lineman, 3 Blitzers and 1 Witch and if the tourney rules allow it then Kick, Dodge, Dodge, dodge, block. Overall though it was my best ever result and I came in 5th overall. thanks for the suggestions guys.
