The ST3 Defensive Line Poll

I will try stacked lines and offset lines on occasion, but most of the time, I'm going with 3 players, bunched in the middle. It is very rare that they will be able to go up the middle that way, and typically stalls a cage from advancing too far on turn 1.

Notable exceptions? Facing a tentacles opponent, or when I have side stepping linemen, or when I am up players.

Also, you can sometimes force opponents to stack the line as well, which I have found helpful late in the second half when an opponent is down on re-rolls. You take more blocks, but risk turning him over or leaving him out of position. With the right blocks, dodges, and luck, you can sometime even make a play on the ball this way. Great for turn 6 second half of a tie game, if you don't want to go to OT, or can't handle the tie.
