Dark Elf team advice
Hi guys, I'm after some advice for further development. I've got some skills planned next to each player and I tend to play a short passing/running game. So with that in mind am I missing anything? I've only been playing for a year or so.
Witch Elf 5ssp (Block)
Blitzer Tackle (Diving Tackle or Side Step)
Blitzer 3ssp (Dauntless)
Blitzer Dodge +AG (Leap)
Blitzer Dodge (Side Step)
Runner NOS (Dodge then Block)
Lino Kick,Wrestle (Diving Tackle) Back field safety
Lino Guard (Block)
LOS Fodder
Lino Block (Dodge)
Lino Wrestle -MA
Lino 4ssp (Wrestle next)
3RR
I'm also planning to buy another re-role then a runner and skill him up as a pass/accurate/safe throw...and then an Assassin.

He's got 3 TRRs. I say Nerves, then Dodge.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I agree leader would be a good choice but I have 3RR and I don't think in the short term 'wasting' a skill for a re-roll is worth it for a tourie possibly but not a league (maybe I should of mentioned that). Also getting large winings rolls so...ulvardar wrote:Runner.- Leader
I'm sure you are short of RR, as every elf team. And Leader is the main reason to have a runner in your team.
I think I'll stick with dodge...but I am tossing up whether to change to pass for the runner...another re-roll for a 2+ roll however.

My runner has NoS and dodge (he's also just rolled a double for his next skill [not sure what to do with that]).Nichren wrote:I agree leader would be a good choice but I have 3RR and I don't think in the short term 'wasting' a skill for a re-roll is worth it for a tourie possibly but not a league (maybe I should of mentioned that). I have found dodge very useful for him because I play a running game with the runner at the centre of a four man cage. Dodge on the runner enables him to position himself more easily and get into the cage, and move with it up the field with fewer problems.
Dodge saves rerolls. Leader gives you one more reroll. The problem is Leader is less useful on an active player who himself might need to use a reroll. Leader is great on a player who either already has skills for the actions that they are likely to perform most often (i.e. throwers with pass and sure hands) or on players who are unlikely to do much fullstop.
Pass wouldn't be a bad choice but for me I find my runner tends to dodge slightly more than he passes (even taking into consideration dumping off), but if you want to turn him into a dual purpose thrower then it isn't a bad choice.
Additionally dodge will help keep him on his feet when he gets blitzed - which can be important on an AV7 player.
