What to induce vs Undead

Post by fire olli »

My Humans are to play an undead team in our league. I do not know what the undead team has with regards to skills but i do know i will get 270k in inducements

So do i go for an ogre with guard and a babe or do i go for zara the slayer.??? :?:

Or can you think of anything else.

What do you have?

My gut says "probably Zara" as she's a better ghoul-chewer than Varag. Can take out Mummies, too... but not as well.

But against a ton of Mighty Blow on a team which doesn't recover well from backfield collapse, you might be better served by a Wandering APO and a Wizard, or if you've got 12 men, a Wandering APO, a Babe, and whatzizbutt with the chainsaw. Receive first and have yourself some AV4 Ghoul. Sure, your Chainsaw will go down... who cares? Make him so annoying your opponent HAS to blitz him, and he'll tie up a Mummy until he gets hurt and gives you permission to score.

Just remember, whatever you get, it's about taking down the Ghouls and Wights before the other guy scores as a crippling tactic, and if that doesn't work, minimizing the carnage at the hands of the Mummies.

The trick to beating Undead is getting control of the clock and using clock control to your advantage. If you're doing damage but he's regenerating, or if you're getting KOs, stall. If you're the one getting hurt, or if you're blowing his guys out of the game, score (preferably by turn 4 if things are going well or turn 5 if not). All reserves/KO bins equal, it's better to pull of an ungainly score in turn 6, roll KOs, and force a hurry-up tie than to hold on trying to score in 8 and fail. And it's better still to score in turn 6, turn it over and score again in turn 8.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I run an undead team and I hate Zara because....

She gets 2 dice (S4) against all my players, She then uses dauntless (2+) on my mummies when she's got an assist...

she's a blodger with +1 when she stabs (stakes) (no chance of turn over) & stakes dont count as "Secret weapon" so she does'nt get sent off

She has good synergy with the rest of the human team

so my vote would go with Zara against undead, for 10k more than Zug you get Dauntless (but -1S) Dodge, Jump up and shes faster and has better AG (but -1 AV)

Wizard + 2 babes/or an apothecary if you have stars you'd like to protect.

Ultimately, you need to stop his grinding drive and recover players for the second half. The wizard can crack the cage or take out his ball carrier for one drive and the babes will ideally bring back all your KO's to save the draw or go for the win in the 2nd half.
