I was just thinking that it would be really useful for newbies like me if some of the veteran players would post the starting rosters they would use in a league setting for a bunch of the races. It can be very difficult making a starting roster and it can be tough to find threads about it on here. Obviously there is no 'right answer' and everyone has differing opinions on it, but it's still helpful to see what the most successful players like to start with.
It really is too bad there aren't more strategy guides by guys like Marcus and Anthony. I've seen old 3rd edition articles but nothing for the LRB edition.
I'll start with a one of the more obvious ones.
Wood Elves
10 x Linemen
1 x War Dancer
2 x ReRoll
8 x Fan Factor

Having high FF or not
This is a question of intuition I think, so it would be interesting to hear different peoples opinion.
We're starting a small tournament (6 or 8 teams) with slightly modified challenge rules (which basically means that everyone plays the same number of games in the play-offs).
My concern is whether I will play enough games in order to benefit from a high starting FF, or if I should go for a maxed out team with 1 FF. Where would you draw the line (in # games played)?

I would say the cutoff for me would be about 6 games. The higher fan factor will be getting you about an extra 15K a game, and it is at this point where it starts paying for itself and making you better. In addition, the extra FF will help you on kickoffs. BTW, if you want to see an article on this, I stumbled on one just yesterday written by Zombie:
