Quick Beastman Question

Post by Skarsnikk »

Should I give a levelled Beastman the safe option and go for Block or something a bit more exotic like Mighty Blow/Claw in the hop he'll attain more SPP's through injuries?

I'll be playing Wood Elves, Skaven, Goblins, Humans, Orcs, Chaos, Dwarves, Lizards.

Both options are fine. I'd go Mighty Blow (and follow it up with Claw and Frenzy).

Good luck 8)

I would go with Mighty Blow, but follow it up with block. Too many AV7 teams for the Claw to be fully effective mehtihnks - you will get more mileage with Block.

First beastman- Extra Arms!

He can field the ball, and give you easier access to SPP's when another beast gets the MVP.

Second beastman- Block

Third beastman- Block

Fourth beastman- Your choice, Tackle, guard, Block, or Mighty Blow (look at your league and choose.)

Block is CRITICAL for Chaos. More so than Mighty Blow or Claw. You will need to make a lot of dice rolls every turn, and it will be great if you can have the benefit of block on 2 or 3 of them, it will extend about 3 turns a half in my experience.

But don't feel the need to get 12 block players on the first advance. Once you get 2 Block Chaos Warriors and 2-4 block beastman, you have the solid foundations to start doing more damage.

Wrestel is exceptionally good on 2 or 3 Pestigors (Nurgle0, so I suggest it would be excellent on Beastmen too. Good for bringing down Blodgers.

This is the 2nd beastman to go up, the first one did indeed get Extra Arms, I've also got three more on 5 spp's so should lvl soon.

In that case, get block now. You need block to get chaos competitive early on. Otherwise you're just burning rerolls.
