Halfling tactics

Post by Pestimist »

ive read older posts saying
2 trees (240k)
11 Flings (330k)
7 FF
1 Reroll
TV 700k
freeboot Master chef and Deeproot

is a good set up to go with, but i dont see how 1 reroll is enough for this team, even with the master chef as it could fail all 3 rolls and your left with 1 reroll for the half

I was also looking for some standard defense setups/strategies for these guys.

and how some of the offense works other than TTM play, or trying to slowly run down the field with a Tree

With Deeproot at 300k and Chef at 100k ... really need to rethink the strategy.

oh ya i guess havent looked at the new competition rulebook yet, guess i just had an Lrb5+experimental one instead

Well my league is just finishing up our current season, and im just planning to use halflings for next season and have some fun with them, so i have time and thought i might as well try and learn some strategy with them

Our league just started, TV110 to start with. I went for 2 trees, 11 halflings, 3rr, 6ff, 2 coach, 2 cheerleaders. Inducement Puggy and Masterchef.

Might be wrong, but my idea was to deny any rerolls for my opponent: masterchef to deprive him from RR and high FF + coach/cheerleader to avoid him to get the rr back. And a lot of RR for me to be able to try some silly stuff.

I lost 3-0 in my first match... But I'm still confident with my idea though: Deeproot is too expensive to start with IMO, he will come later when TVs go up, and the RR are important when TVs are low and teams haven't got many of them...

Any idea is more than welcome ! :D
