sacking niggler in (slightly) advanced Orc Team?

Post by hpb »

Hey there,
my Orc team was leading our kind of bashy league without any game lost in the first round, then it got a series of 2 games lost one draw after an endless seeming chain of (double) double skull blocks and double 1 Sprints. Due to this it got its first niggler on a lineorc.
Now I´m thinking about sacking him.
I know that with AV 9 hes not in a big danger of noticing it, but as I use him to get hit on the LOS or as an assist I guess I will see him stunned and off the pitch more often than without it.
As he has no skills yet I can afford it to replace him, only would lose his 5 SPP.

Another point is that I´m thinking about filling my roster with another thrower (--> hail mary pass) and a 2nd Gobbo (--> diving catch / sneaky git). As the thrower should come first, with sacking the lino I would not go on to the next level of TV (mine is 1840k right now).

What do you think?

Here´s my team:

Sack him - he's just a waste of space. And you shouldn't need more than 14 players either.

well, as for the last games this wasnt true. Against Norse I had 4 Players KO´d all the times and 4 in the casualty box - not 1 of the 8 hurt by a claw-player, just plain 10-11´s all the time...

The exception does not prove the rule.
Those extra 2 players will (normally) just bump your TV for no reason, so you'll be giving up unnecessary inducements and falling foul of SE.

Two things:

1) Darkson is right; you have one too many linemen, IMO. If you need one as a crutch, that's understandable, but if you want to play like a winner, you should build like a winner. So sack this guy.

2) As a general rule, on general principle, don't sack players (especially AV9 players) with niggling injuries.
