Hi
I am going to face Norse for the very first time on Friday and I have no clue what to do with my lizzies.
My team and his team have identical TV but are nothing alike.
ME: 4 RR, 4 Block (1 one a skink), I have speed going for me and some armour
HIM: 2 RR, 10 Block, 7 Tackles, 2 ST4, 2 Dauntless.
The way I look at it:
- we have identical mobility, both have AG3 and his tackle kill my dodges.
- he has much more ST than me in offence, Dauntless and ST4 plus the ability of using everyone in the team to assist will give him enough to bash through my saurus line and put some TZ on the skinks
- In defence he has a little less ST (dauntless is moot) but enough Block to make my life a challenge.
- we both have 13 players, yes i can take some AV7 with some luck but so can he, since I have 4 stunties AV7 on the pitch and his Yetee has claw.
- Dodges will be rare, with his tackle fest I will not be able to use my dodge-stunty combo to great effect.
I am not sure which way to take this:
1) Bash hard and pray for some early armour break, then use the numerical advantage to run through the lines.
2) Use Mobility first and foremost risk one or two dodges using TRR if necessary and Break tackle to pull away from fights.
any advice?

Re: Lizard vs Norse
Using your Saurus to lock down anything with Tackle is key.
It's a strange Norse build your up against, basically its dwarfs with all that Block/Tackle, and that's never a good match up for any team with the world Stunty on more than one player.
If he is marking your Skinks with Block/Tacklers and letting the rest of his team match up with yours, you'll slowly win that match up, but your skinks, and therefore any chance of scoring, will be gone.
I would attempt to score as quickly as possible (isn't that usually the case) and take chances in the early part of the game.
and put a rookie skink on that Yehtee, with no dodge and no block, you can only hope that he doesn't roll too many clean POWs early on. (Yhetees don't have MB)

that's what I thought, I'm toast. the coach looked at his next opponents and saw that it was elves, skavens, lizards and undead, and decided to tackle up to kill the ball carriers. Not a bad choice.

all that Tackle will be great till he has to play Dwarfs/Orcs/Chaos or something similar. Then its a lot of TVR bloat that's gonna hurt.
That's too much tackle, IMO, and while it will help him against you, you really only need 2, maybe 3 tacklers on a team to give dodgy teams fits.

I'll make sure I'll tell him from the casualty box. In the meantime he's slaughtering this season's contenders. He had the orcs and other bash earlier on.
Next season he will have a nice stash of spp and gold to contemplate his "mistake", in the meantime I'm going to try to bash in the first 3-4 turns then switch to run if that doesn't work (if kicking).
If I receive then as you said score fast.
