To take the example to extremes I think that Jump Up is useless on snotlings as they tend to go off the pitch as soon as they go down so you're lucky if you use that skill even once a game.
Hi narg. I think the bit about Jump Up may not be quite accurate. J-Up is clearly valuable on a fast, agile player with Wrestle (example: Witch Elf), irrespective of armour. Perhaps its uses differ somewhat on players with Wrestle and Block (clearly a Wrestle player would use it more often). Let me explain further about what it means for the Norse.

J-Up seems to come into its own the more you have of it on a team. Firstly, it increases the raw block power of the team (you lay down more blocks). Secondly, the opponent becomes reluctant to follow up blocks against J-Up players (perhaps a return block would collapse a screen or a cage corner), leading to greater mobility. Thirdly, it increases the movement range of a prone player by 3 squares, leading to more opportunities to blitz or score. Lastly, it works well when you are stunned (you need that extra movement after the player has spent a turn eating grass). These are all things that seem to suit the Norse.

If you give Dodge to the Berserkers on a doubles, then you could potentially create 4 players with Block/Dodge/J-Up. These would be difficult to contain. The Runners could also take Sidestep, which combines well with J-Up.

Just an idea. I have seen it partially implemented for the Norse, it remains for me to playtest it. But I think Norse development strategy is still fluid.

All the best.
